Curwood Festival Organizers Announce 2016 Youth Fishing Derby Winners
Luke Nichols, age 9, of Owosso, was the winner of the Curwood Youth Master Angler award with a 29”, 10.44 lb. carp. Sponsored in part by River Rat Rods, the three-hour competition had 21 anglers ages 15 and under. The youth fishing derby was created in 2011 by Cathy and Dan Lab to educate kids on proper fishing techniques and etiquette.
